Ondine

Original bronze proof representing a voluptuous Ondine. In German mythology, this riverian spirit is associated with the nymphs and naiads that are found living in streams, waterfalls, and fountains. Quite beautiful in appearance, these women can be represented either alone or in group, and are often depicted as bathing near a spring. Here again, this myth has gained popularity in that it enables artists to portray a woman caught in an intimate moment, most often bathing, with only her hair to cover her exposed body.

This sculpture was created in 2002.
