A place of choice for collectors since 2001, Michel Giraud established his gallery on the left bank of Paris, in the heart of Saint Germain-des-Prés. It is thus among the most prestigious galleries dedicated to Art Deco and modern art.

Michel Giraud began his career in 1985 in Lyon and very quickly developed a taste for 20th century decorative arts. At the beginning of 1988, in addition to his gallery in Lyon, he moved closer to the Parisian art market by opening a store at the Clignancourt flea market in the heart of art nouveau and art deco glassware, the historic Marché des Rosiers. Encouraged by his new international clientele and driven by an overflowing curiosity as well as an assertive sense of aesthetics, the art dealer also studied the other artistic fields of the 20th century. Over the years, he extended his field of knowledge to include fire art, furniture, sculpture and modern painting.

In 1998, he left his hometown and opened a space at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris where he began to present complete interiors, attracting the greatest decorators from the USA. As his exhibitions and discoveries were increasingly awaited, he established himself in 2001 in the historic district of art deco: rue de Seine in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. His expertise, his professionalism and his passion for research have allowed the Michel Giraud Gallery to gain the esteem and trust of the most demanding collectors, but also the interest of museums, some of which have become his clients, while for others, he lends the treasures of his collection.

Michel Giraud has been a member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts since 2001 and a member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires since 2009. He was appointed Secretary General of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts from 2008 to 2012 and of the European Confederation of Art Experts from 2010 to 2012.

He is also the author of several books that are now references in the world of art deco.
