Remarks:

Born in 1895, Vadim Androusow settles in Paris, artistic capital of the first half of the XXth century. There, he meets one of the most promising interior designers: André Arbus. The Arbus style, combining noble materials and elegant and thought shapes, inspired of the great tradition of French cabinet making, is appreciated by a wider public. For his designs, the decorator works with some of the most important artists of his time. As such, Arbus asks the sculptor Vadim Androusow to collaborate with him. The latter creates for him independent sculptures and relieves which decorate Arbus’ furniture.  This fruitful collaboration will last for more than 20 years (from 1930 to 1950).
