Woman with Garland

Original posthumous bronze proof representing the body of a naked woman. Cut at the ankles and neck, this nude is particular for the specific movement of his arms. One of them is folded as if lifting a weight, while the other, even if cut at the shoulder level seems vertically raised. The statue is standing on a rectangular pedestal.

The sculpture had been created around 1921-22.

Signed A. Janniot on the base left side.

Foundry :  Susse – Cast number : 3/8 – 2007.

Height with base:19 ¾ in.                            

Sculpture Height: 16 ¼ in.   

Width: 5 ½ in.                        

Depth: 4 ¾ in.

Certificate:

This sculpture is one of the twelve exemplary did cast from the plaster masterpiece of the artist studio (private collection, France), in similar conditions than when he was alive. Its is coming with a certificate from Galerie Michel Giraud, according to the artist’s legal successor Mrs Anne Demeurisse, who authorized the post mortem edition of this sculpture.

Remark:

The name of this sculpture is due to its variant, which holds on her shoulder a fruit garland.
