Porcelain little ovoid vase covered with orange peel enamel in a shade of grey blue turtle dove and turquoise and sang-de-bœuf fleck.

Remarks:

This artwork is part of Ernest Chaplet’s personal research, realized in his workshop situated in Choisy-le-Roi, which he occupied from 1888 to 1909. Indeed, the artist fully masters his art’s means and develops a new decorative vocabulary based on the expressive richness of enamel and shapes both lively and sensitive.
